What school must I attend to receive assistance?
You must be enrolled at a community college or 4-year institution in Virginia.
Does Secure the Student assist graduate students?
At this time, we only assist undergraduate students.
What may I request for assistance?
For food and toiletry assistance, you may request items from our pantry. For housing assistance, you may request up to $500. For a student who is unhoused or in transitional housing, please contact us at hello@securethestudent.org.
How often may I receive assistance?
You may request monetary assistance once a semester. However, you may request food and toiletry items as often as needed.
After I submit my application, how long does it take to receive a response?
We will do our best to respond as soon as possible. However, we ask for 5-7 business days to complete the process. Turnaround time will be dependent upon the amount of applications received.
